THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT (I)
"We see Jesus today in open conflict with Satan and his works. So also during Lent, which is a time when the struggle against the old man is more intense, should we ‘live as children of the light”, performing actions good, just and true.”

Collect: We beseech Thee, O almighty God, look upon the desires of the humble: and stretch forth the right hand of Thy Majesty to be our defense. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who livest and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end.
Epistle: From Bl. Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians, 5:1-9.
[Let us live as children of the light, performing actions good, just and true.]
Gospel: Continuation of the holy Gospel according to St. Luke, 11:14-28.
[Our Lord is in open conflict with Satan, He disarms him and expels him from the body of one possessed.]

Remarks are abstracted from The Daily Missal and Liturgical Manual, from Editio Typica of the Roman Missal and Breviary, 1962
